Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program

The Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program is a low-impact physical activity program proven to reduce pain and decrease stiffness.  The routines include gentle range-of-motion exercises that are suitable for every fitness level.  

 

 
 

CONTENT

The Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program uses a variety of exercises that can be performed while sitting or standing, including endurance, balance, strength, flexibility, relaxation, and health education topics. Light weights and bands are used in addition to gentle range of motion movements.  

TIME

Classes meet 2x/week for 30-45 minutes in length. Classes are facilitated by a trained instructor.

AUDIENCE

The Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program is designed for older adults experiencing muscle or joint pain, stiffness, soreness, or who could benefit from an overall low-impact exercise routine.

COST

Classes are offered on a free-will donation basis.
